We are excited to announce that we are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Youth Pastor to join our ministry team. This individual will play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth of our youth, guiding them through their formative years with wisdom, compassion, and a deep commitment to the Christian faith.

Job Description

The Youth Pastor will oversee all aspects of our youth ministry, from organizing events and activities to leading spiritual discussions and providing mentorship.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Attributes

·         Has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.

·         Possess a strong knowledge of Biblical teachings and Christian doctrine.

·         Demonstrates the ability to lead by example, equip, and disciple youth.

·         Understands the needs of and has an affinity for young people.

·         Understands Christian culture well and contextualize the Gospel accordingly.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

·         Proficient with computer applications and social media.

·         Creative and adaptable in developing engaging programs and activities.

·         Is teachable and open to feedback and accountability.

Preferred Education and Experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

·         Previous experience working with youth in a church or ministry setting.

Selection Process

All applications will be reviewed by the selection committee, and candidates may be contacted for interviews. The interview process may include one or more of the following in a hurdled approach:

·         Initial interview with the selection committee.

·         Presentation of a sample youth group lesson.

·         Meeting with current youth group members and volunteer leaders.

·         Final interview with the lead pastor and church leadership team.

Mission & Who We Are

RLC Mission: We believe God has given us the mission to help people become radiant followers of Jesus Christ.

Our church is a thriving contemporary rural church established in 2017. We have a great team of staff and volunteers that are passionate about serving God and our faith family. We currently have 3 staff members consisting of a Lead Pastor, Associate/Worship Pastor, and Children’s Ministry Director/Office Manager. Radiant Life Church has an average Sunday attendance of 160. We offer kids church during the message portion of our Sunday morning worship. Our youth group (Station/Sub-Station/ 5th – 12th grade) meet Sunday evening from 5:30-8pm. New Strawn is located 5 miles from Burlington, both are part of Burlington Unified School District #244. We are 30 miles from Emporia to our west and 30 miles from Ottawa to our east.
